Committee on Social Communication and Media Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences

The committee was established on 19 January 2021 (Resolution of the Presidium of the Polish Academy of Sciences No. 1/2021) as an expression of appreciation for the autonomy of the newly established discipline and the social significance of media research.

The committee’s scope of activity:

social communication and media studies,
bibliology and information science,
cognitive science,
cognitive science,
media sociology,
media education.
