Committee on Geological Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences

The Committee on Geological Sciences operates under the Polish Academy of Sciences, and its main objective is to ensure the high quality of Polish science in the field of geology and related sciences.
The Committee achieves this goal through cooperation with government bodies, dissemination of the latest scientific research results, public opinion surveys in the field of Earth Sciences, and cooperation with foreign scientific representatives. Given the role of the Committee on Geological Sciences in shaping science, the Committee develops and publishes its positions and expert opinions on issues of greatest concern to society and state policy, such as climate change, nuclear energy and raw materials management.
