Unless otherwise provided by law or the statutes, resolutions of the General Assembly are adopted by a simple majority of votes in the presence of at least one-third of the national members. Members who have reached the age of 75 are not counted in the calculation of the required quorum.

The General Assembly of the Academy is chaired by the President of the Academy, who convenes General Assembly sessions at least twice a year.

He or she also does so at the request of one-fifth of the national members, no later than 30 days from the date of receipt of the request.
