Committee on Architecture and Urban Planning of the Polish Academy of Sciences

The Committee was first established in 1952.

The Committee’s scope of activity: theory and history of architecture and urban planning, contemporary architecture and urban planning in all areas and scales, including the design and construction of buildings and building complexes and related spatial planning, urban planning, including in particular the humanisation of the urban environment, landscape protection and shaping, protection of cultural heritage on an architectural and urban planning scale, interior design, design of details and equipment, creation and preservation of the natural, built and cultural environment.
