Committee on Automation and Robotics of the Polish Academy of Sciences

The history of the Committee on Automation and Robotics is only slightly shorter than that of the Polish Academy of Sciences itself, dating back to 1953 when the Commission on Automation was first established. In 1960, the Commission was transformed into the Committee on Automation. Six years later, this committee was transformed into the Committee on Automation and Technical Cybernetics, only to briefly reappear as the Committee on Automation in 1981. It has been operating under its current name, the Committee on Automation and Robotics, since 1984.

Scope of activity: control theory; process modelling and identification; system optimisation; control system design; artificial intelligence applications; process and system diagnostics; automation devices and systems; computer automation systems; design, operation and applications of robots; robot formation control, decision-making systems, industrial automation systems, control of biological processes and systems.
