The history of the committee dates back to 1974: pursuant to Resolution No. 10 of the Presidium of the Polish Academy of Sciences of 9 July 1974, the Committee on Labour and Social Policy Issues was established for the first time, renamed in 1999 to the Committee on Labour and Social Policy Sciences.
