Mining Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences

The Committee’s tasks include:

publishing the ‘Archives of Mining Sciences’ journal,
organising and co-organising scientific conferences,
disseminating the results of debates, discussions and scientific conferences,
acting as the national committee for cooperation with international organisations and associations,
undertaking all activities aimed at the development of mining sciences and the use of their achievements for the benefit of the country,
analysing and evaluating the state of mining sciences and related scientific disciplines and scientific institutions,
preparing opinions, assessments, expert opinions and scientific forecasts concerning mining sciences and related scientific disciplines,
commenting on matters of state economic policy, in particular in the field of mining and energy, as well as mining sciences and related disciplines,
integrating the scientific and economic communities for the purpose of generating innovation in mining.
