Committee on Slavic Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences

The Committee is interdisciplinary in nature, bringing together representatives of a number of scientific disciplines that develop knowledge about Slavic culture: linguistics, literary studies, cultural studies, history, especially early Slavic history, archaeology, ethnology and ethnography, art history, and folklore studies. The main areas represented in the Committee were linguistics, literary history, and ancient Slavic culture. The collaboration between scholars in these fields has resulted in monumental works that are unique in the field of Slavic studies worldwide.
