Committee on Quaternary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences

The Committee on Quaternary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences was first established in 1964. The Committee’s activities involve bringing together researchers representing the main scientific centres in Poland.
The primary task of the Committee on Quaternary Research is to initiate and coordinate interdisciplinary research. Its activities contribute to significant progress in Quaternary research in Poland and support cooperation with researchers from abroad (including Ukraine, Belarus, the Czech Republic and Germany) and participation in international programmes.

The committee’s scope of activity includes Quaternary geology, geomorphology, archaeology, zoology and botany.
