Scientific awards of Division V
The Division of Medical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, pursuant to the Statute of the Polish Academy of Sciences of 24 November 2010, as amended, § 36(7, awards annual scientific prizes from the funds of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
The amount and number of scientific awards granted by the Division are determined each year by a decision of the Division’s plenary meeting, based on the applicable regulations and depending on the amount of funds allocated to the Division for this purpose.
The Division of Medical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences awards the following scientific prizes annually:
- Division Prize of the Division of Medical Sciences,
- Jędrzej Śniadecki Prize,
- Doctor Wacław Mayzel Medical Laurel – an honorary distinction for students engaged in scientific work,
- The Jędrzej Śniadecki Medal.
