The conference was held in Warsaw at the Staszic Palace.

Activities of the Institute

The Institute’s scientific and research activities are characterized by a high degree of internationalization. This is evidenced by the large number of publications in top-ranked foreign journals and research projects carried out in collaboration with leading academic centers, especially in Western Europe, such as the University of Oxford, the London School of Economics, and the Ifo Institute in Germany. Our employees participate in international conferences and research internships. Many of them have received significant national and international awards for their research results.

Inauguration of the academic year. The Institute of Economics of the Polish Academy of Sciences runs prestigious postgraduate studies in Executive Master of Business Administration, which are the first and only EMBA studies in Poland to be included in the Integrated Qualifications System, with partial qualification status at level 7 of the Polish Qualifications Framework and the European Qualifications Framework.

The Institute’s involvement

The Institute is also involved in the national economic debate. To this end, it regularly organizes open discussion panels, most recently in cooperation with the Economic Sciences Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Polish Economic Society, devoted to important and current issues such as Poland’s accession to the euro zone, inflation, fiscal policy, energy transition, and the impact of Covid-19 on public finances and macroeconomic stability. The most prominent representatives of academic circles, including those with experience in creating and implementing economic policy, are invited to participate in these discussions.

An important aspect of the Institute’s activities are its MBA programs, which have a high, well-established position on the domestic education market. In addition, the Institute is a co-publisher of the renowned quarterly magazine Ekonomista.
