Call for PAS – MTA joint mobility projects
The Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS) and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA) are pleased to announce a call for joint mobility projects to be carried out in the years 2027–2029 within the framework of the Agreement on scientific cooperation between PAN and MTA
Submission deadline:
The attached application form should be completed and submitted only by e-mail to Renata.Kuskowska@pan.pl by 30 September 2026.
Funding:
- the projects PAS-MTA will be carried out according to a cost-sharing system. i. e. sending side covers the costs of international travel to the place of destination in the partner country, and the receiving side pays for the costs of stay of the foreign visitors (daily allowances and accommodation and local transport in accordance with the approved programme for the stay).
- the number of projects approved in the years 2027–2029 and the maximum quota for mobility under each project will depend on the budgetary situation of PAS and MTA.
Additional information:
- applications can be submitted only by scientists from the scientific units of the PAS and MTA,
- the proposed mobility project may cover all fields of science.
Formal evaluation
The purpose of the formal evaluation is to determine whether the submitted application is complete and complies with the formal requirements specified in the application form. If any irregularities are identified, the Applicant will be given the opportunity to supplement or correct the application within a maximum of 5 working days from the date of receiving such information from the PAS International Cooperation Department.
Applications for projects submitted in only one of the above-mentioned countries will be rejected as non-compliant with the rules of the call.
Substantive evaluation
Evaluation of applications will be conducted by the relevant Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences, according to the following scheme:

| Relevance of the team’s achievements to the project topic | scientific competences and research experience of the team members in the relevant field | 25% |
| Consistency of tasks with the objectives and expected results | methodological and logical coherence, structure of the research plan | 20% |
| Feasibility within the proposed timeframe and budget | feasibility of project implementation in light of the proposed plan, available resources, and schedule | 15% |
Final approval of applications recommended for implementation will be made by the Vice-President of the Polish Academy of Sciences, responsible for international cooperation.
Applications with the highest substantive evaluation scores will be selected for implementation, provided that they obtain no less than 60% of the maximum possible number of points.
Applications are evaluated separately in Poland and in Hungary in accordance with the procedures adopted by each party.
