“Chronicles of a Pandemic” is a collection of 27 posts and a calendar prepared by the Interdisciplinary Advisory Team on COVID-19 to the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The team substantively reported on the course of the pandemic from July 2020, commented on the dynamics of change and gave specific recommendations.
The issue of “Academia” titled. “Chronicles of a Pandemic. Years 2020-2021” is the second comprehensive study of scientists organizing the news on the SARS-CoV-2 virus and the COVID-19 disease it causes. The texts created by the Team appeared online in real time, reported on the course of the pandemic, discussed systemic problems hindering the fight against it, and straightened out unreliable reports. They also addressed the economic, psychological and social impact of the epidemic, the effects of which will be felt long after it ends.
