In addition to research Institutes, the Academy also maintains a set of auxiliary scientific units. These include archives, libraries, museums, foreign centers, and a botanical garden. These establishments are organizationally independent. However, they do not have legal personality. Their statutes are available (in Polish) from the PAS Public Information Bulletin.
