The new President, Vice Presidents, and Chancellor of the Polish Academy of Sciences received their appointments on 29 December 2022. Their terms of office begin on 1 January 2023.
Prof. Marek Konarzewski received his nomination for the post of PAS President from Minister Zbigniew Hoffmann, a member of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Poland. The nomination ceremony took place at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister in Warsaw on 29 December 2022. The appointments were signed by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
Along with the new President, nominations were also received by the incoming Vice Presidents: Prof. Natalia Sobczak, Prof. Aleksander Welfe and Dr. Mirosława Ostrowska. (The nomination for Prof. Dariusz Jemielniak as PAS Vice President was received by the PAS President.)
An appointment as Chancellor of the Academy was also presented to Dr. Rafal Wierzchoslawski.
